About Fieldstones Creative, LLC
This project began with simple question:
What if a creativity could be a tool for building stronger communities?
Fieldstones Creative, LLC, is a social enterprise rooted in the belief that creativity can help address one of rural life’s most persistent challenges: isolation.
Through community gatherings, workshops and retreats, Fieldstones creates opportunities for people to create, share stories, explore ideas, and build connection. This work draws on the creative potential of rural places and the people who live, play and work there.
Founder Marcella Prokop has built her life around storytelling, but it wasn’t until she learned about the Initiator Fellowship that she realized there was a model for building a business around a social good, such as storytelling, that didn’t have to be a non-profit.
This model is the social enterprise: a business entity whose activities advance a social or community purpose, bringing together the practical work of generating revenue and the larger goal of creating positive change.
Marcella applied to be an Initiator Fellow, pitched her idea and began developing the enterprise in January 2026. Through this process, Fieldstones Creative was born from a desire to turn that belief about creativity and connection into action. Today, Marcella seeks to create experiences that bring people together while building a sustainable enterprise that can continue serving communities across Greater Minnesota over time.
Connection is not a luxury. When shared experiences turn into shared stories, this connection is what helps people and communities thrive.
